Eudora Pro Version 4.3.2 (Reviewed by Jack Koenig)

  • Until this version came along, Eudora Pro was considered one of the best (though lesser known) email programs available. But something happened along the way. It seems as though a whole new mindset took over the company and from there on in, they seemed to have headed downhill.
  • Eudora Pro V4.3.2 is not only a memory hog (the inbox, outbox, and trash are all kept in memory), but it also does a lot of strange things.... like arbitrarily changing your BCC’s (blind carbon copy) to CC! Not only does that expose your mailing list to the world, it’s also an inconvenience to the recipient... especially if there are thousands of names in the list.

Unfortunately, their tech support could never address this problem and instead, suggested we upgrade to their latest and greatest... V5.0.

But according to reviewers, 5.0 is fraught with problems also. Including extensive memory usage from the same reasons as listed above.
