I have an HP ScanJet 3000C using Windows 98. At one time it became necessary to remove the HP Scanner Program from my computer.  There was no uninstall (program) so I had to delete the folder.  When it became possible to reinstall the scanner it would not install. I called HP and got a new installation disc (at my expense) but it would not work either.

Today I called HP again and they would’nt tell me anything except that a tech would talk to me for $25.

I would like to know why the HP people intentionally omitted the uninstall from their installation disc.... (PB 8/20/02)
